Just been to look at a job and the previous owner has had a path laid , which the new owner wants me to match into, using what looks like indian stone but the sizes are around 520mm wide, coursed. I say around because they have all been laid upside down so I can only measure the side I can se which should have been the bottom.
Not sure if they were laid this way on purpose or if they just didnt know.

Any way I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who makes or stocks sandstone in that modular size as there are around 4 sizes but all 520mm ish wide.
Thanks

My supplier has the 560 units but I am pretty sure these are not 560 as if they were they would all have to have been cut and it would have been far too much work as there are no cut edges and the chamfer on the side of the slabs are not very steep sa the face of the slabs are at max 10mm bigger than what I have measured but more like 5mm so possibly 525mm units

If you accept that the 'undercut' created when trimming these imported flagstones can be around 20mm, then it's easy to see how lopping off 20mm from each side, 40mm in total, can give the flags the appearance of being just 520mm wide.

Ok so I think I will have to lift one so I can measure the face because i didnt think the undercut was that steep. But I could be wrong and it wouldnt be the first time.

Thanks

Its cheaper, the guy who runs stonevalley is rude and unhelpful and does not really have a clue about customer service..so i left him for jewsons, now jewsons have the same problems him not sending orders out forgetting this and that.i don`t recommend them!
