I was with NFU and they used to be good but they bumped me by 100% last renewal so off I went. I'm now with Quinn's and pay about £480 per van fully comp anyone over 25 etc. JCB are starting to do trade and plant insurance and will be offering cutprice deals to get the business up and running.

QUINNS??!! these guys are absolute shysters in my opinion. best of luck if you need to claim. had a crusher nicked a few years ago and cust was insured with these aholes. they refused to pay out on the grounds that crusher wasnt secured in a locked building... what is the point of insurance for plant on site? my policies cover "all risks" (barring the usual exceptions). had to claim on my own insurance, cost a fortune and untold hassle! then cust went into liquidation so couldnt recover the costs. just what you need............

but my point.... would not pay premiums to quinns if they were the last insurer on earth! BUT zurich (My insurer) were first rate: paid out over market odds within 3 weeks. cant get better than that imo.
