IMHO theres more work in doing crazy paving correctly
MSH has done some recently and I am sure he will testify that its more time consuming than standard paving

surely its price the job what you estimate its going to cost you in materials and labour add you profit margin then divide by the total number of metres gives you your price, always good to know what the competition or others are charging though as a guide.

your area will affect price though sure down sarth prices are more expensive than the good old warm hearted cheerful chatty north hahaha

There is alot off work in doing it correctly, first thing is what type off slabs are you gonna smash, what pointing product are you planning on using, the job i'am doing some days we have laid 3m others 10m,we was using reclaimed, reused york stone if you had to buy that your looking at £70m to buy it so there is a lot to consider MSH :)

thanks guys the slabs he wants are just the cheap old crappy crazy slabs you see every where about £40per ton ( 6 /7 m2 ) this job is something im not to fond of as i hate crazy even when done nice like msh is doing, its still not my thing , ill be putting alpha's around the perimetre and a nice big raised garden bed along 1 side so this should make the job look a little better as i do like my kerb work ,,i just didnt wanna hit him with 6 grand which ive worked out on paper and the next 3 quotes come in at 4k lol

can you not talk him in to normal paving?
its called crazy paving because you have to be "crazy" to want it
I've seen it laid on neat building sand then slurry jointed but that lasted about as long as the money the poor sod paid
IMHO its the most expensive paving to lay correctly

i said to my old man today about crazy paving
he rolled his eyes,and laughed
he was getting £60 per yard in 1984 (last time i can recall it being popular before CBP took off)
he said you have to throw your rule book out of the window ,screw your eyes up and just avoid straight lines
he reckons the pointing takes twice as long as the laying, done right
