Should this happen? - Driveway damage

recently have had a skip on the driveway which is tarmac of about a year old, you can see where the skip has been sitting and also where the door was open when loading the skip, also the driveway is startign to show signs of where the cars are parked you can see where the tyres of the cars have been sitting,
any help would be welcome.

Skips should always be put on scrap ply, whether its block or mac.
Dont know about tyre marks tho, shouldn't be appearing if you drive something under 3 tonne.

As before, skips or anything heavy should be placed on a board on all contact points to prevent spot loading of the surface which will mark it.

Car tyres leaving imprints in the surface? No, that shouldn't happen. A picture of the 'damage' from the tyres would be handy.

Is your driveway steep?

Do you know what tarmac was laid? 10mm 6mm SMA??

aye, pictures would help. do you have an invoice/ticket info with the material description?

asphalt isn't the best material to withstand point loading, but should withstand vehicle parking. many things can cause deformation. look for 'shouldering' as if it's a surface course issue the material will displace around the depression. if not, then it may be a binder course or subbase failure.
