Aco channel drains and a soakaway come to mind.

My garden is currently fully turfed, I plan to cover this with corse sand then flag straight on top, I thought about digging a trench along the bottom of the garden putting in a pot soak away drain, cover this with gravel then cover with a grid.
Do you think this would work???

You need to excavate at least 150mm below finished level and install a subase first!

I put down the turf myself 6 years ago and dug out about that depth, put back a corse top soil and spent a whole day with a wacker plate leveling the ground, if i remove the turf would that be ok, or will i still have to dig out again?Dave_L wrote:You need to excavate at least 150mm below finished level and install a subase first!

No, proper subase required.
