Sandstone and gritstone setts being laid - 568 m2 courtyard and drive

Just finshed this job in preston area laying sandstone setts to outside bands and to pick up bays gritstone setts to main area all laid with cpi silo fed 4 to 1 sharp sand cement and pointed with same as slurry mix. All setts reclaimed some of the bigest we have ever laid up to 10 inches wide 9 deep and random length. PS we are looking for more work if there are any jobs going - also interested in small jobs anywhere or labour only m2 cheers cookie here are some pic's to look at ps thanks for your help ratty and syd

Dry your eyes Cookie they're minnows compared to the Caithness slabs I'm laying now. Some of the setts in the old parts of Edinburgh and Dundee can be close to that. Part of me is glad not to be dealing with them anymore it was always touch and go whether you'd be short of bigs on a run you'd started. Neat work I'd love to see some shots of it pointed. tr y and keep away from the big slabs worked on the royal mile many years ago yes the silo is the way to go had a few teething problems with water but when sorted did 500m2 six hours two on wheel barrows me on sweegie and two on blanket then three men cleaning of have photos and vid for utube when tony mac comes back more photos to post where you working now sat at home looking for work my boys have a few private jobs on then waiting for the next big one heres hoping cheers cookie ps save the back get the big probst handler what a machine
