Got transferred today, even further than i was. 91 miles each way. bigger expense and they dropped the money ( got me by the b******* ) Will be in the slough area, so anyone know any "CHEAP" digs, caravan, or camp site? I know there were a lot when we were on t5 but dont know if they still going. Dont know the duration of the job. within reasonable mileage of sl14. pm me if you can help ta.

Done a week at a pikey caravan park in feltham. Was there before for two years and they dont come any rougher. First night back the leccie went, just as i finished cooking. Second night bed collapsed. Third night soaked through sky light. The shower room no leccie, ever and i forgot my torch. Outside caravan stank of dog and horse shite. Next week i'm set up in a bedsit in slough, a ton a week for room, £4 for evening meal. where are you based suggs?

Would'nt share, like a single peta :;): There are cheaper rooms but you pay for what you get, apparently they will be 'good digs'. Between digs and petrol it is 140 a week, without found.

yeah i hate sharing ,even on stag dos i always pay extra for my own room,a m8 of mine works away a lot and he always stays at premier inns,£70 a night mid wek but he reckons worth every penny for a decent nights kip

Who covers the cost of digs and petrol? at £70.00 per night + diesel youre not going to have much wages left!

they fit log burners nationwide,so its not always convenient to drive 300 miles home if its a 2 day job, and of course it has to be factored in to the overall business cost

its the same as the bakers/cafe, most lads i know would rather spend £7-10 a day on decent fresh grub than go in some grotty place and get crap food for a £3.
the main thing i know about digs ( from personal experience) is DONT get a room in a pub
its fatal
