Circle layout in drive - Is this a practical layout?

My wife is very keen on circular feature in a drive planned in Marshalls Tegula Drivesett 50. There is a picture in the Marshalls brochure on page 126. The suggestion is that normal blocks (smallest to begin with 120x160) can be used to expand the basic circle pack which has a diameter of 2580. By my calculations the first row of blocks added to the circle would have gaps of 15mm at the outer edges. This sounds far to much to me. Hence it would appear that a large number of blocks need a small amount of trimming to achieve an acceptable gap. Does anyone have practical experience of expanding such a circle in this way? The picture looks great but is it reasonable to ask anyone to lay it. Thanks.

well you could lay it out first,and if the joints looked bigger than acceptable then think about trimming (lot of work)
generally the bigger the radius the better it looks with square modules
you will probably need to use something to stabilise the joints if you go for the initial wide joints

Ive laid an exploded circle, and on the first 5 extra rings after the the circle kit i used only the 160x120mm units. The next 5 rows were laid using 160x120mm and 160x160mm units. then continued to lay using Marshall's recommended ratio of 13 large, 18 medium, 3 small blocks. To be fair, the wide joints on the first 5 rings did concern me. i applied Marshall's Keybond to the paving (which im not a great fan of) and the paving still looks good today and hasn't moved 5 years on, and i haven't had any complaints. The client weed kills and power washes once a year, as any paving with large joints will always accumulate dirt/weed growth. I'll post a photo of the finished job, when i can work out how to!
