Afternoon all,

bit of advice if you may.

I have recently completed my diy block paving driveway and i am very happy indeed.

ANyway, the finishing touch will be the dropped kerb outside my house. the council (gateshead) have quoted almost £800 to do this work. is this about right, if not what is a normal quote? also do i have to get the council to do the work of can i get someone in.

It will only be 3/4 kerbs, £200 a kerb???????? surely not.

any help guys?
Cheers

In norfolk , we have to use the council for a drop crossing, i used to do them but council wont allow it any more,
its not just the kerbs it the ashphalt as well i would not charge that money but in council prices that is about average, 700/800 pounds hear is normal for 5 kerbs ,3 droppers 2 tapers and 1.8m wide ashphalt MSH :)

Sounds about right. Dropped kerbs are a PITA.
