Not one to put a damper on things. But has your contraption been tested and given the stamp of approval, and SWL etc? Regards lifting steel, does'nt it have to be lifted by chains, double wrapped and choked? If any were to slide of you would'nt stand a chance with H & S. On my firm it is a red card for improvisation.

ainscough crane and banks man coming to lift the steel,

and yes it was fabricated by a bucket making company, swl is same as the machine 1 ton. even though it will lift more

forks only really get used for packs of face brick and bulk backs of sand.
got a block grab for the block, and everything like steel and roof trusses has to be craned as its 3 story high so well out of the working envelope for the machine.
