Excellent site - this is my first post.....
I will be bedding bricks/blocks on a road project. Using a strong polymer cement sand mortar bed to hold the blocks, will leave it 24 hours to cure and gain strength.
The next day i need to point between the bricks, but.....after 4 hours the cars and coaches and possibly lorries need to get onto it - i know that's fast. Joint is 30mm wide, 10mm deep.
Not sure where to look for a product; any ideas?
Thanks

There are rapid set mortars, but they rely on the bed and the joint being done in the correct material and with such a shallow joint, I'm not sure what would be used.
I can't understand why:
a) blocks would be rigid-laid in the first place
b) why they would be rigid-laid with such wide joints
c) why there's such a rush to open to traffic - a flexible system would be quicker.
I'll ask a few colleagues if they know of a suitable product.
