Just had new tarmac drive, laid now 3 weeks ago, after 3 days of being laid we had some heavy rain,i notice next morning the tarmac had brown stains on them( not sticky),
contacted contractor told them,he said don't worry these will fade in a mouth or so,3 weeks now ,no sigh of fading, tried to wash with washing up liquid, made small difference, still can clearly see marks,do i have a problem?
now in the last week i have noticed white marks after heavy rain, coming from the kerbs,(kerbs were laid a week before the tarmac by same contractor).
Could not upload photos, click on links below you should see them.

brown stains could be from rusty roller drums/dirty water, or even earth from any nearby groundworks. fresh bitumen will be sticky so any crap will stick to it and stain it. this won't affect the performance and is purely aesthetic. give it a year or so and it will weather in and all your asphalt will look dull & grey anyway. seriously, weathering will take some time so it will be months rather than weeks.

white marks could be from surface bitumen stripping under trafficking if they've used a limestone aggregate. not sure about the kerbs tho, unless some are chipped/damaged and again any dust/fines created have stuck to the fresh hot asphalt as it was being installed.
i used to love using tarmac, but got fed up with getting my asphalt

Don't worry, those marks will soon dissappear as the tarmac greys up over time.
