not been around for a bit

a week last friday the mrs moved out and took my little boy so she could have some space to find herself and work on us, by monday she was in a relationship with the guy we have argued about for months she was sending him 700 texts a month haha and kept saying he was just a good friend. anyway we gave up on monday morning after a massive row by lunch time he had set them in a realtionship on facebook haha and she had him staying over wednesday night.

she says she didn't realise till monday he liked her hahaha

sorry for the rant but heads up my arse haha missing my little lad, he's welcome to her just not my boy.

the stupid thing is she says she still loves me but just wants to be friends we've spent the last 5 months arguing so its good that has stopped, and i can see him when ever i want and have him wednesdays and alternative weekends she only lives half a mile away is just weird going round there knowing she has a new fella.

i'll be alright shit i'm single for first time in 3 years haha time to have some fun

Maintain your dignity, Giles. Don't give her ammunition to shift the blame, and don't do anything your littl'un would be embarrassed by in years to come.

There's loads of women out there, but you've only the one son.

Sorry to hear that Giles.
However I think you need to read what you have written.
"He has set them in a relationship on Facebook" which elicits the response
How old is he? Has your missus run off with one of the school pupils she teaches?
I shall repeat. He writes on Facebook and sends 700 texts probably something along the lines of
"C u L8r babes when u not bzy"
I think I can safely predict if you keep your dignity, as suggested by Tony Mc, that after a week of trying to wrestle him away from updating his wall postings your wife will leave the boy child and come running home begging to be allowed to live with adults again.

Refain from joining Twitter and writing
"Met fit lapdancer in the Cool Room Friday night. Result!!!"
I think all you have to do is sit back and wait. Refrain from all male posturing (It's so transparent and pathetic to us females) and DO nothing.

Nothing will bring her back quicker than thinking you couldn't really be arsed coming to get her.
Do not (please believe me) shoot yourself in the foot by having revenge sex. To use another bodily metaphor....It will surely come back and bite you in the ass.
Your son is the most important thing and it will serve no purpose going to war with this woman. Rest assured the man...correction...youth, will soon tire of babysitting a child who is not his own and you will get more quality time than you can possibly handle.
Good luck.

Oh and it is interesting to read the male responses to break ups.
Seriously women should run the planet....light blue touch paper and retire

i'm only 27 haha and she (29) ain't my wife and she aint coming back ever haha i know that, she's almost in love with this new guy, we'll be friends i guess till we die for our sons sake. but i am not pleased with her despite saying she would wait to introduce my son to him she waited 2 weeks to make it easier for her to have him round, its amazing even after you split how much hurt you can inflict on each other.

thats was her life for the last 3 months texting him, lying about going out with the girls and meeting him and facebooking him haha he's welcome to her.

funny thing is we met through the sheffield band i work for as a bit of a hobby and my best mate the lead singer is just finishing their 3rd album and he told me today the last 3 tracks are about me and the ex haha should be funny to hear how they come out.

i'm just getting on with my life, being a great dad. started playing rugby again its been like 4 years since i last played, gone form 21 stone to 18 stone and aiming to get back to 14.

off to maida vale on monday working for the arctic monkeys on radio 1 live session, my mates their guitar tech and have worked with before so hopefully get some tours with them.

priced 2 jobs up this week as well awful jobs but its work haha so it ain't all bad.

giles

ace you would be surprised the people that use facebook

and that is the reason i dont use it,it would be a time bomb for me personally.

and giles as my old boss used to say " a woman will draw you farther than gunpowder can blow you"

i didnt understand him at the time but i do now,
TBH when i first read this thread my main emotion was anger, but prolly best do what the gaffer advises and forge on with your own life.

I had a lad work for me in similar circumstances and i hate to say it but the csa crippled his wages, and then his ex was always using the lad as a pawn in her mind games

hope it can be sorted amicably m8
