i am going to under take an extension to the rear of my own house l8r in the year when the work goes a little slacker maybe nov/dec, although i can build walls etc.. i dont class my self as a builder but my partner and i feel we can do it & save quite a bit of money doing it ourselves (been quoted 20k) i know lots of plumbers,sparkies and window fitters to call on, but onto my question do u know of any sites like yours but more extension/conservatory based??? that i can go to and read up on procedures etc... thx tony

As far as I know, there's no site that goes into the same amount of detail as I do, but then, not everyone is as bloody obsessed as I am, and they don't have the time to do it. However, there is a damned good Self-Builder's site that links to tons of useful info, and is jam packed full of folks that've done it themselves and are always willing to pass on their advice....
