Can you buy anything cheap to get perfect spacing of 10mm?

Like you can with tiles etc?

I often use a legnth of flatbar ie 130mm x 10mm, with a right angle bent in 50mm from the end. Sits nicely on the surface

As I've mentioned before, there are made-for-paving (allegedly) spacers, but I can't see any advantage they offer over tile spacers, other than the fact that they are slightly larger. They are also significantly more expensive and significantly harder to find in Britain.

Plasplug do 2,3,4,5,7&10mm
http://plasplugs.com/tiling-tile-spacers.html

The description says
Suitable for use with wall tiles & large flags
Could be a bit fiddly if used in the conventional way though?
Perhaps use them in 'on end' and pull them out afterwards?

Any builders merchant will sell window spacing slides, range from 1mm up to about 15, there basically a u shaped piece of plastic that commercial window fitters use to level up the frames. if you know someone who works on a building site get them to ask.
God loves a tryer
