Paving Stones
Can you give us a bit more info? Are these flags or pavers? Is the shininess because of trafficking or a result of the manufacturing process. What do you mean by patchy colour - variation in hue/depth or colour, or areas on no colour interspersed within 'normal' areas?
As for the moulds, the usual method of cleaning is water, but it does depend on the type of mould, whether they are steel, polyurethane, ABS placky or summat else.

Patchy - as in, we put yellow dye in the mix to make riven effect concrete paving stones bit often they come out with patches of a greenish hue and are shiney but, then, these patches turn white when dry as if somehow the colour is draining out. Does that give you any more clues as to what our problems may be? We will be very grateful for any advice you can give.
The moulds are plastic but not the expensive modern type.
