Hi all
I want to construct speed ramps in block paving (200x100x80mm). The ramps will be in a housing estate road. A small section of the road will be bock paving with block paving speed ramps and the remainder of the project wil have blacktop but I want to detail in Block speed ramps, to carry the look throughout, instead of using coloured tarmac with the cobble mould/impression imprinted into the surface.
I've gone thought the main website but I cannot see how I would detail block paved speed ramps.
I concerned about the "edge" restraint of the block on the bottom part of the ramps, how should I detail this and what to specify?
Any solutions or info please. I'll be very greatful.
Thanks

Hey Tony
well it all depends on how much!!! the detail i was working on was like an intermidate "edge" restraint at the bottom of the ramp was (obviously flush with the road surface!!!) , where I put steel dowels in the haunching. (got that detail from interpave, for kerbs in industrial areas) but sure let me know how much and is the detail in CAD or pdf format?
Thanks
Clare
if this is a service you offer? I might make more use of it. All my work is in the ROI and we've nothing but cowboys doing paving here so I have to double check all my details to cover my own arse!!
