What tv advice

General banter, tradesmen, recommendations and warnings, surplus materials, humour and owt else!

Hi all, i must now be getting old
as i just dont understand it, so please help if you can
i am after a tv for the bedroom it has to be 19 or 20 inch,
and has to have a dvd intergrated and freeveiw aswell,

also ive been informed you can get tvs that can also record the programs on them now please how does this work and do the smaller tvs come with that or what is it i need to look out for

At Currys - they have a few, not many though. You aren't going to get a built-in PVR/VDV recorder in these though. Here's a few with built in DVD.

My advice would be not to buy a tv with dvd etc.
reason
1. not many to choose from (as mentioned)
2. If the dvd is used a lot, and if that breaks then you will kill yourself.
3. One pays more for less kwality.
4. If you buy it, you will be that sad and end up killing yourself.
5. Men don't buy 19 to 20in tv's, we buy the biggest, and we will all kill ourselfes if we don't buy the biggest.

you meen you hav'nt looked on the main index it's right there after DPC, then it's.... DVD, TV, VIDEO etc :laugh:

20 inch, i`ve an old black and white you can have. bigger is better. don't ever listen to you good lady on these matters, what you want is a 60 inch tv, my tv in the living room is only 40 inch and i feel inadequate. surprise her. :p :D

I have a 52in, two 42 inchs, 37in, two 24inchs. and a 6inch. :p

50" Pioneer in the living room and 43" Pioneer in the conservatory!

Bedroom is for sleeping, so TV in there.

i've got a 42 inch philips ambilight stuck on the chimney breast. great tv, works on wireless network and plays everything from itunes etc. but watch most my tv on the little 18" lcd in the kitchen as i'm cooking.
