Hi Guys'
I'm after a bit of advice regarding a job I did, some fifteen months ago. I completed a landscaping project for a client, part of which involved making good of some delapidated existing steps; the client didn't want them taken out and replaced.
The client contacted me saying the new step treads had become loose and moved and wanted it re-done at no cost. He thought it had been caused be frost damage( I re-done some pointing due to frost damage, around a month after completion, no qustions asked, as I always would sort any problem if I made a mistake). It was clear when I looked at the steps that there was not any trouble with frost damage as all pointing and bedding mortar was rock hard. It would also have shown vastly quicker than fifteen months.
The problems occured after the bad weather we had in march.
Now, do you think I am liable to repair the steps after all this time and when I didn't build the original structure.
Any advice is geatly appreciated.
Guarantee advice.
