thanks mate, its hard work but like you say its a great feeling as you complete each stage, you get a sense of pride as you complete each stage! the neighbours must of thought i had lost the plot but you cant help but stand there and smile after you have shoveled in and levelled out 20t of mot1! loln0chex wrote:You have done a great job as i see it mate and well done you must feel proud that it has turned out as it has and i am hoping to get that feeling when mine is finished as i'm at the sanding stage now.

hi mate, i used 2 lenghts of 20mm steal conduit bedded into the sand and the drew a piece of timber along them, i done the screeding in bits and laid the blocks on the screeded area as i went along, as you move along you use your finger to make a groove in the sand and pull the conduit along and then use the loose sand to fill the voids left by the conduit. i set up string lines to establish my levels and you can use a spirit level placed on top of the conduit to check that your levels are looking good.n0chex wrote:Can i ask what you used to screen the level ?
I think the conduit method is probably going to be the easiest option for a diy project!
good luck mate
