anyine know the current prices for lenghths of 10 or 12mm steel re-bar?
Parish council has had the brillian idea (citation needed!) of puttin sleepers all along the village green to stop cars driving along it. The spec. states that each sleeper has to be on concrete, and pinned down with metal stakes. I am assuming to drill a hole through each end, and drive a reinforcing rod through into the wet concrete to old it. the back of the sleepers will be held with concrete haunching then soil banking.
They have also insisted on using old sleepers, despite me telling them it is no longer allowed in such an environment.

ah well, don't hold much hope of getting this job. no on site water too so a bowser hire is needed!
