starting a 65m2 Cellular driveway for a client, using "Supacrete" "tuff turf" grids, but the client has a local Garden show next weekend, the 20th, which involves lots of people visiting his Garden, and probably wrecking our work !! He wants us to Turf the area rather than waiting for the seed to grow, any thoughts? If anyone has done this and its worked, what turf did they use, Cultivated, amenity or specialist?
Cheers

Hey Mick some of those cellular systems are available with an optional turf cutter that can be used to cut it to the cell size. Personally I'm not a fan and think that seed is the way ahead. The cut sections are so small it's easy for them to dry out too quickly and shrink. It's also hard to get the soil levels right. If you finish the area to a high standard then then it shouldn't look too bad at all for the visitors. I'd go for an amenity seed mix and a good healthy soil mix with root promoting fertiliser added.
Can't see it from my house

Again thanks Mate. As I've said this is more for show for the client. The job's in a wealthy suburb of Birmingham, Moseley where they all seem to be mainly lecturers and solicitors, all very middle class eco- conscious, but we have built up a good reputation around the area and I want the project to be a showpiece, so I have already advised seed, the guy knows seed is best but equally he wants it to look good for the garden viewing. ???
Gi it sum ommer
