I am looking to put some patio paving slabs down to put a heater/pump and filter for our swimming pool on. The size will be approx 0.8m X 1.8m. I will be putting a small wooded shed to cover everything on it. The shed will only be approx 1m high.
There will be no foot traffic once setup, just the running heater/pump sat on the slabs.
Currently the area is just grass. Do I need a subbase or can I get away with just sand cement as a base?
Also given the small area, where is the best place (price wise) to obtain the slabs and other materials. I looked in a national DIY chain, they sold subbase for 2.85 a bag, it said 10.8p per kg. How much would I need, sorry for all the questions but Im a complete newbie to DIY stuff.
Do i need to put a subbase down?
