Well you have the n95 (same as n96 but £150 cheaper) blackberry (good for e-mails on the go-get a red 8830 one ,like mine ) but for site Ive never found anything to match the 6230i Nokia, great camera, good in call functions, drop in cement, mud, breakfast, still comes up smiling.....only £30 second hand.
I got the Blackberry curve on contract for free with Blackberry service thrown in (usually a tenner) The N95 has an amazing camera 5 mega pixel and it zooms like no other phone, very buggy tho, slow to respond, but of an office phone really. My Blackberry copes of on site as it has an nice leather pouch.
Still cant beat the 6230, if it had sat nav (like the other 2) and e-mail on the go, I'd bin the other two.

Nokia 6230i was a good phone but the speakers failed in all three of mine!
Motorola V3i was a good phone, had a few of those.
Nokia 6300 now, good camera etc loud and clear audio.

Yes that is a down-fall of them, I had mine replaced for a fiver. Its when the dust gets into the earpiece. Could bluetooth from 175 ft away. It was great, you could take a photo of a board with 'Tommy, get the kettle on you fat client' and bluetooth it to him from the other side of the job   :laugh:Dave_L wrote:Nokia 6230i was a good phone but the speakers failed in all three of mine!

Got a samsung b2700, sports phone, camera quite good and all other functions spot on. Must confess this is my second one in about 6 months, but only cos my first ended being compacted, when i cleverly left it on a wall on site, it worked for a bit sort of but no one could hear me cos of the echo. Too be fair to samsung i don't think they test for such things !
Gi it sum ommer

I'm on my 3rd Samsung G600 since last February. The first decided to internally disintegrate within a few months.
The second lasted nearly 12 months before I had one of those slow motion accidents, mowing on a triple cylinder mower, glanced down to see my phone drop from my pocket, hit the control panel, and bounce just in front of the left hand cylinder.
Lets just say, I took it back to Carphone Warehouse in a bag that contained the bigger bits that i could find
