Had my guys doing some planting off a plan the last few days had all the plants on site labelled and sized off. Sent one of the guys to the yard for some fabric and left them to it. When i went in this morning to pick up some gear I noticed the fabric was still there and 900 quids worth of geotextile was gone. You can guess the rest monday morning the sparks will fly. They're all experienced guys I can't believe none of them noticed.

Dave no chance of salvaging it all the plants have been put through it so it's shredded. They haven't used it all but will need to buy some more for the job it was meant for next week. I'm preety sure they knew that they were using the wrong stuff but being a friday they couldn't be arsed with the 20mile round trip. They probably didn't appreciate how expensive it is and thought it was similar to the membrane you know how slack people can be when it's not them paying the bills.

I was right when I said they didn't know how expensive it was and were very apologetic but there was no point giving them a hairdrying. All I could do was tell them I was disapointed with their lack of thought and I needed them to be super efficient with materials and their own effort for a while so I can recoup some extra profit. Couldn't ask them to work overtime or pay me back because they wouldn't and I could have prevented it by giving clearer instructions to the guy who picked it up. Just got to suck it up and get on with it.
