So you are paying £200 for a glorified screed rail? If you wanted to go the rigid laying line you could of done it with some various length of straight edge timber. knock in some stakes mark your levels, then measure down from your level the thickness of the timber. Bang a nail in a little then rest your straight edge timber on the nail, your screed rail/straight edge will now be at the correct height. Now screw from the back of the stake into the straight edge to hold it in place. doing it that way you can choose the lengths you want and when you finally get pissed off with it you have some bits of timber that cost peanuts in comparison to the pissy paver.
dont forget to let us know how you get on trigger :;):

like sean says 2 bits of timber or alu L section and some rebar pins and a few of those large clothes peg type clips. and you got the same for about a tenner.

with a name like welder001 and your other posts it sounds like you have a vested interest in this product.

If only i did have a vested interest, i might actually make some proper money.

The name comes from my previous employment in a factory as a production welder.

as soon as it arrives i will do a mini reveiw for you all.

Dave.

World of Paving will be ideal for companies launching products such as this as not only will the audience be composed of people who actually lay paving alongside those who buy or specify it, but there will be a large demo stage so manufacturers can actually show suitable (i.e. those that don't shower the audience with muck, etc.....!) products in action.

They can also hold a Toolbox talk and by a combination of the two things they will get an instant reaction from the trade and, if all have liked what they see, some orders.

New from cormaic innovations: the Piece'o'Piss Paver. Lay a patio in exactly the same amount of time as normal, but with lighter pockets!!!

Each kit contains two screed rails manufactured from real steel (any resemblance to electrical conduit is purely coincidental) along with a strong pure cotton string line and two genuine British Made bricks to hold the string in place when you stretch it over the screed rails.

And all this comes packaged in a handy length of 100mm placky pipe that you can throw in the back of the van!!!

With the Piece'o'Piss Paver your grandma will be laying the flags while you're off-site explaining to the bank manager why you're not coping with your existing overdraft.

SPECIAL OFFER!!!!

Place your order for a Piece'o'Piss Paver kit this month and receive a free knackered trowel handle to tap down your paving. Hurry: stocks are limited!!!

I watched the video!!!

Why did they put a fat labourer on it? was he in it to say that its so easy you get fat!!

If he can sell thousands of them (to dickheads) and make loads of money I suppose id do the same.

Its a great idea using a string line and a level ill have to start using them.

When I heard of your amazing offer on the 'Piece'o'Piss Paver' I was so excited that in my haste to get to the phone to order one, I poked myself in the eye with my Pointmaster, tripped over my Bricky and fell arse over tit into my Easybarra....... which happened to have a knackered trowel handle standing upright on the ergonomically designed slab platform.

I am now in A and E where a delightful young student Doctor is 'gloving' up ready to remove the handle from where the sun don't shine.

So Tony, if I order a 'Piece'o'Piss Paver' from you could I please have a different free gift as the handle has just been successfully recovered and is steaming away in the steriliser.

Will you be doing a video or a YouTube of the 'Piece'o'Piss Paver' like those two 'Patio in a Day' operatives and their Meccano for Biffs kit?

If so thats the sort of gift I would like. :D
