I have been advised there is no difference between 6F2 and 6F5 material. The reason they are given different designations is because 6F2 is produced within the site and 6F5 is imported???

Anyone confirm this please...

aye, the SHW 600 states that 6F2 is material extracted from site (i.e. not imported), and 6F5 is material brought in from an external source (imported). It was a SHW amendment to allow for more recyclable materials to be used in construction.

The particle grading is virtually identical, give or take a few new EN/old BS sieves, but essentially it can be a 125mm or 80mm down (to dust) and the property requirements are the same.

Thanks for that Phil. So someone offering me a 6F2 is in fact fulfilling the spec I need which is 6F5... :)
