Hi all have just bought a new spectra laser level and after playin around with it today at work i cant see how the gradient function is any better than just setting your level at the high point and then if you need 500mm of fall just set the receiver on the staff 500mm higher and mark the staff accordingly.

unless you set your staff and receiver at the bottom of the slope in line with the laser and move the laser down to it with the remote ?

How do you guys do it?

Ive not had to use it in a proper situation yet but it will probable become clearer then.

Cheers
