Formation level

Hello again,

My project is now down to formation level which is 6 inches below face of flags. 1inch for flags, 2 inch for morter bedding, 3inch Mot.
I`m about to start barrowing the mot round. My question. Do i whack the formation level. Add the 3inch Mot and whack that, or do it in stages.
I think Mot depth should be 100mm but its been a bugger to dig out....

Whack the subbase throw in the mot full depth no layers and whack again. The depths you mentioned are fine for patio flags with minimal load.
