Hi, hope someone can help,
Can I use the aquacell system to replace soakaway from my septic tank?
The original soakaway has failed!
Thanks

If a septic tank soakaway comes under the same build regs as a rain water soakaway, then my local building regs people said either like for like replacement or honeycomb brick structure no fill or proprietary milk crate style construction (ie aquacells). Your local building regs people would be the best to check with.

The main thing with a soakaway is to understand ground conditions, clay don't soak,it needs to be big enough for the amount off water put in it, you need to do a perculation test to establish size,i do 3 or 4 a year and fill mine with clean reject bricks from brick works to create a tank, our local building control have no problems with them.but as i say each area is different,we have good draining ground mostly silt land or sandy soil MSH
