I suspect this is a dumb question, but if I may, PLEASE consider.
Several kind people helped me with an "inside" job (above URL), 40m3 underneath a house, laying 460x460x45 cement pavers. The issue was that I was concerned that I was laying on inappropriate sand.
Well, it was a long journey, screeding, 21Kg per paver, in a space only 1m high, making friends with a brick saw, etc. But I think I've done a pretty reasonable job. They are "butt jointed", which really means in some cases there is 1mm or so gap at the bottom. The pavers are cambered, so even though they are touching (or close to it) at the base, at the top there is around 3 or 4mm gap.
Here is what Tony said in relation to jointing, previously:
"As for the jointing, I'd just use a standard KDS. Lay the blocks, scatter the KDS, brush in what you can, then use a rubber mallet to 'settle' the blocks and persuade the sand into the joints."
I had a look at the only sand stabilisation product that is sold in Australia where I am and I didn't like it all. Goo. And I don't want to go grout or cement based product. So the KDS is a much better idea.
My issue is that I am now wondering if I should simply leave the job as it is, and no point at all. The pavers are not moving. Low traffic (it's a store room). I suppose what is concerning me is that as an inside job, I don't want sand running around all over the place. But then I also appreciate the benefit of the sand trickling into nooks and crannies.
Should I get a grip of myself (stop worrying about nothing) and just go the KDS as I was advised, or is there also see merit in leaving it as is, but for perhaps filling around the edges?

I would be thinking like that if I had to, very justifiably, pay a contractor to work in these conditions - for starters, I just ordered the wine rack, 11 bottles high, 50 bottles wide!!

I bought a laser level, and made a permanent marker line around the entire space, spaning all the four rooms. Then I used 20x20 square hollow steel bars, cut to various lengths, to screed off the sand to level the entire space. Took ages. Then levelled each paver where necessary.
