Found this site the other day, any one heard or seen this type of "PIC" before

I guess it is along the same lines as some of the american concrete.

Yes, this is stenciled concrete and, depending on the pattern, I think it gives consistently better results than traditional PIC using imprinting mats, main reason being that installer does not need to stand on the concrete (albeit with a mat under his feet) and thus requires less critical judgement calls.

I've done it myself and the cobble patterns, especially using a textured roller, can look extremely good as can the brick patterns which look quite neat.

Other than the USA, very popular in Australia and should, I think, be more popular than it is in the UK.

Stenciltech are the main manufacturer in the UK and I hope they will be at the show.

Two days is better than the half-day course some PIC suppliers reckon is adequate to become "fully qualified". I think a two-day course would be fine if you have at least 3 years experience working with concrete under site conditions.

the problem with all this PIC stuff is that it looks amazing when first done,but the number of posters on here show that it certainly isnt "maintenance free"
some of the stuff on that site is fantastic,but when you consider that parts of the uk have on average over 200 days a year with rainfall greater than 1mm ,then the installation is problematic
