its 100m2
or do you think i should let some 1 else take the job on so my name isnt associated with it

If you never done it before, leave well alone its a very specialist job money can be made and big money lost, let a PIC contractor do the whole job

Better still talk them into real blockpaving, once PIC is down you have no access to any services under it 100m is a large area to cover, MSH :)
paving, mini-crusher, mini-digger hire and groundwork

do they wear underpants on their head and pencils up their nostrils?
are they stark raving mad?

i know someone will be along and argue with me but pic in the uk is a no brainer,we are way too wet for that ,plus the colour (all 5mm of it) soon fades
leave pic for dubai and california where the sun shines a lot
block paving would be a better job

guys i totally 100% agree with you i hate the stuff for all of the reasons you have said ,
i wont even attempt to do any of the concreting but i would do the ground work as then at least i know it will be put on a proper sub-base
i know im new on here but im not new to "the game"

Evening Gents, it'll be interesting to debate the pro's and con's of PIC and BP one day here in the Brew Cabin, I've been involved with both so I have no bias, it'll be fun, but, to answer Jay's question:

By all means do the prep yourself, but then sub-out the rest of it, i.e. form installation, setting, the whole "nine-yards" to sealed and signed-off by the customer and money paid. Do not consider, even for a moment, going on a training course and doing it yourself - love it or loathe it. it's a specialist skill and a 100m job as an introduction is a no-no. Be there when the subbie does it and you'll find it interesting, even lend a hand....you never know, you might like it!

100 metres is a decent sized job and without prep would be a sought after little number so you would get a decent price.

Best.

Where are you in the UK? This would help me give you further advice.

Now you come to mention it......

Jay, give Ronnie Hay a call on 07930434317 or mail him on info AT multiprintpaving DOT com. He does top class work, is always busy and if he can't do it he'll be able to point you towards somebody good.

Best,
WOP
