Who says paving and DIY are only for men! We are planning to undertake our first paving project and want to install a small patio type area in our garden in Japan.
We have after much language problems got our hands on three bags of dry mortar and 28 12 inch square tiles - they are little pieces of slab held together by a plastic webbing. However we have little idea of how to go about laying them - the japanese guy at the building supply centre tried to tell us but we couldnt understand him!
Therefore i am desperate for someone to give me a fool proof guide as to what to do and how to lay them - we have some idea but not much! The one hitch is that it needs to be semi permanent - so that it is sturdy enough to use but can be removed if the next occupant want to get rid of it!
Please help us or i fear that we will be left with a disgusting concretey mess!
Thanks :o)

PS: i would read the guides but i really need a non-jargony fool proof guide for someone who has NO IDEA about this kind of thing

Have you read the guides?
Did you find them full of jargon?
Which particular "bits of jargon" did you have trouble with?

The mesh-backed patio tiles are laid in just the same way as any other patio flag or slab.

Read "the guides" - if you can't be bothered reading "the guides", then I can't be bothered writing it all out again for your benefit. Most folk find my writing to be self-explanatory and jargon-free - try it.
