Hi I wish to relay some large flags that are currently under my front bay window. They are currently slightly above the bottom row of air holes in two air vents and I am concerned about possible damp. My questions are:

1/ How far below the air vents should I lay them?

2/ What should I lay under them? they only have occasional foot traffic.

3/ How much of a slope away from the house should I have? they are large flags, one full flag and then a flower bed.

Any advice will be most welcome.

Steve

The answers to all your questions are given on the Main Website of which this forum forms but a small part.

Depth below airbricks, and/0r dpc, is given on the Dealing with DPCs page, but, ti paraphrase, you should be lower than the bottom of the airbrick.

Bedding and falls are also covered in great detail - see Laying Flags.

Once you've read those pages, if you still have any questions, this is the place to ask.
