Laying yorkstone setts - Change of slope or gradient

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Hi,
I have almost finished digging out my driveway in preparation for laying 75 mm yorkstone setts bought from ebay at a good price.
My dilema is whether to gently slope my drive over the full 9 metres or to follow the previous shape which was 2 metres flat at the garage followed by 7 metres of a slightly steeper slope towards the road.
I couldn't find anything on the website about change of slope.
I plan to put a concreted soldier course up both sides.
How much harder is it to change the slope or would you advise the full 9 metres of the same slope.
I assume it is down to being able to accurately put the soldier course down accurately on both sides by gently changing the slope as required.
I assume I can just follow the advice given on the block paving for these 75 mm tumbled yorkstone blocks. I noticed the advice on spacing with the tile spacers. Do you leave them in before wacking.?
Great website which i used to lay indian sandstone flags in the past.
Hope you can help.
Kenny

An S-ramp would look better than a flat bone, particularly where you meet the garage floor and threshold with the public highway.

Changing gradient is dead easy, if you get your edge courses set right.

Thanks.
What is the procedure with the tile spacers?
Do you leave them in or remove them before wacking with kiln sand?

If you can't see 'em, leave 'em in!
