seems a shame they have done a nice job now trying to bump the price up afterwards
thing is if they didnt mention any extras before they did them they havent got a leg to stand on
bit confused by golden brindle, they look like brindle brindle to me,or is this autumn mix or something?

i knew i'd seen this in the builder magazine before, had to screen shot it as it wouldn't let me copy and paste it. funnily enough article was about rogue clients not paying for work.

Personally, as an end consumer, if I'd had two quotes, one for £8k and one for £14k and the cheaper far exceeded my expectations I'd pay the measily extra, but that's just me.
Doesn't sound a lot between two homeowners but gut feeling will tell you whether they're looking for something in their back pocket or they have a geniune reason for the request.

1. he shouldn't ask for any more if you haven't added more to the paving if you have then pay up
2 . the job looks good , as for laying the edges and doing it differently to some ,well not a bad thing just different (maybe he is doing it right )
3, the job needs to be payed in full , to make the guy wait whist your neighbor is holiday is a liberty ,your neighbors should have got cash for the contractor if they knew they were going on holiday
some of us don't have ££££££££££ in the bank and rely on wages per job
and it might be criminal damage to rip the job up but also think it might be a criminal offence by not paying the guy for the job in the first (your neighbour)
