There are no double standards on here; just honestly held opinions. We try to offer impartial advice rather than your extremely partial view that gives an unfair summation of the attitude to PIC on this site.
PIC, along with bitmac and resin-based surfacings, suffer compared to segmental paving because of the inability to invisibly repair problem areas. This is then compounded by unscrupulous contractors coming up with all sorts of nonsense to avoid what is the only effective fix for the various problems, namely full reconstruction.
Done properly, there is no problem with PIC. The problem nearly always arises from shoddy or incompetent installation. If you wish to defend such workmanship, then please do it elsewhere.

the views I express and my opions are derived from reading previous posts on this site and I stand by them!
If anyone can be bothered researching said posts they may be inclined to agree.
As for using this site to defend shoddy workmanship,how did you reach that conclusion (it wasn't me that suggested 'rubbing opc into the cracks' but if you condone that practice then so be it)?
Finally, the 'ex printer-ex contractor?', whats that all about? my past history in construction bears no relevence to the ability to read and make informed opinions based on what I read!!

these include upvc fascias,tarmac,block paving PIC,tree felling/pruning
all of the above, which is not an exhaustive list are jobs that can be carried out relatively quickly with a potential for a high profit margin if corners are cut that are not immediately apparent
building larger projects there is more time for the customer to inspect work and also for the LA to inspect the work,therefore making it harder to bodge
