I have had a new monoblock drive installed but when it rains puddles appear on the surface. I have raised this with the contractor and his comments are that as the rain water disappears within 24 hours then it's not a puddle so no problem with the drive.
Would be greatful for your thoughts.

I have photos but don't know how to attach them.

On the forum notice board Tony has attatched a thread that explains how to upload photos. Your contracter is "Puddled" by the sounds of it. Definition of a puddle is ( noun ) "small pools of water especially after rain." :)

Back when I served my time, an old highways inspector told me that if the water covered an old penny, it was a puddle. An old penny (1d) was 1/8" thick, 3mm in metric, and old pennies had been phased out 6 years before then, so the modern version was a 2p coin.

Ask the contractor for a documented definition of a puddle, and get him to point out just where it says any surface water disappearing in less then 24 hours doesn't count. He's bullshitting!

Tom, He`s havin you on big time mate. Get him back to sort it out. No paving installation should puddle.Ask your contractor if he`s heard of drainage systems, so many on the market and simple to install.
Goodluck!!!
