Can anyone help please, I have just had laid 60sq mtrs of smooth cut sandstone on a full bed of sand cement. I have noticed that some slabs when walked on bare footed sound slightly hollow and when tapped appear to show some movement or vibration. I am concerned that in time this will crack the pointing. Can anyone please advise if the above should be expected. for whats its worth as a layman it seems that some of the slabs have not adhered to base not sure if pva should have been coated to slabs before laying

Thanks
benzo

There shouldn't be any movement, but as I can't see the site, I can't really comment on what has gone wrong.

The use of PVA is a nonsense for patio paving.
