Linear drain at house or land drain edge patio

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Our back lawn slopes towards the house, about 10-15 cms lower over 4metres to edge of patio. Current patio is uneven so need new patio.

One contractor say slope patio towards house ie continue grass slope and put linear drain around house.

Other say slope patio away from house and put land drain topped by gravel along front of patio where the grass and patio will meet in a sort of V. Land drain connected into nornal drainage.

My only concern with the linear option towards house is the water will pool towards back door etc and the house is north facing. But would the linear drain option work better than a land drain ??

installed correctly either option will be fine, but the linear drain is easy to maintain:)
