Drilling into concrete

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Hi All

I wonder if anyone could recommend the length of time to leave before drilling into new concrete (as in a few days old)to fix a rawl bolt into place

Regards

the longer you leave it the harder it is to drill into it.

not to hijack this thread but how long to drill into a 300mm base, same type of thing, rawl bolt fixtures?

As said before, decent SDS hammer drill so no worries!

Yep - I shuttered a section within a milton ring, poured the concrete to form the 'bench' for the hydroflow control device - removed the shutter the next morning and drilled the 14mm holes for the rag-bolts - the concrete was hard as hell - drilled as white dust.

Aslong as you have a decent mix, you'll be fine.
