Keep getting weeds coming up through my block paving which I guess I should expect as it has been down for years.

After looking at this forum I decided to use jointing sand and than Resiblock.
Someone than suggest GeoFix Jointing Compound which seems to make sense. However looking at they information they keep referring on numerous occasions to gaps of at least 5mm and depths of over 25 mm.
These dimensions are generally greater than the ones in my block paving.
Help!

Nigel,
Geofix is a waste of time and money IMO,
If you are going to be sealing your block paving then I feel there is no need for a polymeric sand. Just clean & de-weed the paving allow it to dry out completely, then sand & seal on the same day.
Be-careful with Resiblock, if you mess it up it an't easy to put right.

Hi there

Weeds which grow in block paving have set in the joint and not grown through the ground below so before trying to clean the joint out i would suggest you use a strong weed killer like roundup wait 2 weeks then re sand, i would not try sealing has this will not make any diference to the joint. Give your paving a good sweep often and weed kill once/twice yearly.
