York stone crazy paving - Driveway & patio

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Right for patio i was going to put down 75mm-100mm DTp1 35 -50mm mortar bed then slabs and pointed with a dark mortar . Is this okay? (maybe a few pebbles randomly dotted along edges)

For drive what should it be? 150 DTp1 and 50mm mortar?? Is this okay?

Lad im working with has asked his landscape lecturer and hes specified 150mm DTp1 and 15mm mortar bed(yes 15mm). is that a joke or is he bang on????

The patio spec is ok, but the driveway needs a rigid base, ie: concrete, 100mm minimum thereof.
