Afternoon chaps & Lara,
Ive a 55 sq mtr patio to lay including removal of old patio and and path to lay, one level, but poor access from road, now i know you will say we haven't seen the job etc, so i was just asking for a ball park figure including subbase and labour etc per sq metre. This will be the largest ive undertaken so far hence the questions
Cheers all, Dave.

in my neck of the woods lancashire we would be getting between 65 and 85 a mtr depending on the size of the job. also at mo i seem to be pricing agaist fair weather firms that price jobs way to cheap and when the bad weather arrives they go back to driving a taxi

Thy need shot. It's embarassing and very hard trying to explain your pricing to a client when you have come in way above another quote from these idiots. Dave I wouldn't quote a job per m2 if access etc were bad. Anything like that gets priced on how long I reckon it would take (daily rate for a squad) plus a wee bit extra and what materials and plant I need plus a wee bit extra. Sit down and write it all down would only take 15mins then stick to your convictions and send the quote with a follow up call a couple of days later.James.Q wrote:also at mo i seem to be pricing agaist fair weather firms that price jobs way to cheap and when the bad weather arrives they go back to driving a taxi
Can't see it from my house

price materials plus labour to any job and you should be ok. ive been at this 20 years plus. and theres alway someone cheaper but if you offer a better quality of workmanship then you should be ok
