Hi,
Can land drainage be connected to linear before it hits the sewer?
That's what i'd like to do but the linear drains I have seen are much shallower than the depths I would like to put the land drains.
The ideal would be to scrap the linear idea and have fin drainage between patio and garage which I think could be much easier connected to land drainage coming from further back up the garden.
I seem to be coming up short finding a supply of fin drain systems in the yorkshire/Pontefract area (supply only). Do most builders merchants do such things?
Good tip with the fabric, I was going to use weed control stuff, but you've talked me out of it.
Cheers

Big No no connecting land drainage into your sewer pipe. You can put it into the stormwater pipe but you need to install a sediment chamber. Its on the main site. Connecting a linear channel into the land drain should be ok as long as the pipe isn't going to be overwhelmed. Could you not install a soakaway with an overflow pipe connected to the storm drains. Install a trap under the channel then use normal 100mm pipes to get to the landrain
Can't see it from my house

I meant the surface water drain, not foul drain.
Hadn't thought of running both and connecting up the linear drain down to the land drain, has possibilities.
The problem with a soakaway is that my land is the lowest point already, I want to get rid of the water not pool even more.
Do I need permission to link into to surface water drain?
I haven't seen sedimant traps mentioned on the main site, where can I find them?
Cheers
