Can anyone help? I want to use Groundguard/Grasscrete on my driveway which at the moment is laid to grass on a clay soil. Do I need to lay some kind of foundation with topsoil/sand etc? Does the surface need to be levelled? Apart from Screwfix where else can I buy this type of product? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try Boddingtons Grass Protecta (www.boddingtons-ltd.com) or (01621) 874200. This requires no excavation or removal of soil (which on clay can only be a good thing!). It can resist loads of up to 8 tonnes per axle! Should do the trick and all you have to do is pin it into the ground with steel u-pins - similar to tent pegs. They advise you stay off it for a week after installation to give the grass half a chance.
And the best news is no need for a specialist installer - its a fairly simply DIY job for a sunny Sunday afternoon
