Has any one out there ever used one of these blades
will it cut through a 9inch wall
i have a lathe 3' away form where i wont to put in a window so dust must be kept to the bare minimum!!

i wood be able to grind the outer skin as far as my 5in grinder will go and wood be able 2 get the window sized so i am using the mortar joints
The blade wood only have to cut 7' and 50% of that wood be mortar.
The inside bricks are fairly standard commoners

Huquavarna and stihl do a cracking wall saw which for the price of those blades you could hire 1 for the weekend and do the job properly and quickly with dust suppression aswell. Those recip saws are only good for light materials they come unstuck pretty quickly in heavy stuff.

grind your 2 " slots andy ,then use a 7mm masonry drill to stitch drill the rest,we do this all the time when working in peoples house==> very little dust
i normally do the holes about 10 mm apart then once they are all drilled i do diagonal holes
its very effective
also got 1 of these
but it is slow compared to drilling
