hi tony what do u think of the new prices for resiblock 22 , i just tried to order a drum from my supplier only to be told that the ppl who make it have took it away from all the suppliers and only sell it direct now for a whopping £150.00 +VAT a drum and you can only buy it 2 at a time. so they increased the price by 50% and then say u can only buy it if u buy 2 drums at a time. :( talk about monopoly.

That's news to me - I'll contact Resiblock and see if I can get an answer from them.

Lynn Ball from Resiblock responded with the following....

"This is not correct.

It was not a question of Resiblock "taking it away" from suppliers. The builders merchants did not wish to stock the product RESIBLOCK '22' because it is a specialist product.

We do sell RESIBLOCK '22' direct but it is at a cost of £121.00 (+ VAT/carriage) for a 25 litre container - NOT £150.00 - and it can also be purchased in 5 litre containers at a cost of £26.80 (+ VAT/carriage).

It is absolutely not true that we tell people you can only buy 2 drums at a time. We sell in any quantity.
"

How much sealant do you get through eack month? Is it worth you buying, say, 10 drums in one go and thereby reducing carriage costs? What alternative is your supplier now offering?

Well 121 +VAT makes 142 in my book, is the carriage less than £8?

just got back off hols so sorry i have not replied before now, i only use this product if the customer wants it as a result i dont use that much, all i was trying to get over is that they only supply direct now and not through suppliers ie:marshalls and they have also hiked the price way up. i was told i had to buy 2 drums but that muat of been a mistake by the guy on the phone.
