Laying patio inside raised beds

Hi all,
lookin for advise,

I've been workin on a patio,
26msq although it ain't square, its flat at one end and then curves in on both sides toward house and steps and ends up by a lawn.

The stone has been bought, kota black limestone 280x560 (roughly)

On 3 and half sides are little strip foundations for walls for raised planting areas, doubles as extra seats, so 2 1/2ft high approx
One side is the lawn
The half a side left is where the patio butts up to a rill which flows past (another post there me thinks)

The patio will slope 1:50ish to rill away from house

The patio foundations are 150mm crusher run wacked and blinded with sharp sand, leaving 2-3in for top stone (1-1 1/2in) and, I gather, sharp sand and cement mortar (1in).

The question this time is should the surrounding walls be built first (they're going to be rendered aswell)
This would stop the mess of building them gettin on the patio stone, but wouldn't it make it harder to string out easily for laying kota
If I lay the top stone first, it would make all the curved cuts easier, and then could follow the curves with the walls?

Any thoughts, suggestions appreciated

Definitely do the walls first. That stone stains like a bastard and it won't like the traffic while you're rendering either.

Always get brickwork and wet trades over and done with prior to laying the paving. Look at how it's done on a housing site: the houses are built, roofed, painted and sold (usually) before the final surfacing is done.
